Practical Skills:

Photography and magazine placement

During my Media Studies A-level, I designed several magazine layouts using original photography. Through this process, I developed a strong understanding of editorial design principles and layout conventions. To further improve my portrait photography skills and gain a deeper knowledge of Canon camera systems, I independently enrolled in a photography course in London.

In this particular project i created a video for a response to Nicholas mirzeoff ‘How to see the world’ theory.

In this task we were provided with a short video with no sound, and were tasked with adding the sound overlay, as if editing the scene for a movie.

Photography and Editing

In this project i was creating a mixed media piece. A critical exploration of how social media engagement—particularly the pursuit of likes—can manufacture a sense of connection and community around public figures, raising questions about authenticity, influence, and the nature of digital relationships.

I used finger prints to represent the likes, and chose the most liked image on Instagram. Created a component sheet by removing backgrounds and overlapping. To then layer mask the images.
